Région Dents du Midi: pleasure skiing in the Valais

A haven of tranquillity in the Portes du Soleil ski region

The Dents du Midi (“teeth of the South Alps”) are one of the most famous mountain chains of Switzerland’s Chablais Alps. The winter sports region of the same name is located in the heart of the Chablais region in the canton of Valais. It encompasses the picturesque Val d’Illiez and the ski resorts surrounding Les Crosets, Champoussin, Morgins and Champéry.

What’s more, Région Dents du Midi is also part of Portes du Soleil, the world’s largest lift-linked ski region. Between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, 600 kilometres of slopes, 12 charming ski villages, excellent snow conditions, plenty of sunny days and fantastic views are waiting for you.

Add to that pristine nature, old traditions and Swiss cordiality – and what you get is a fantastic choice for skiing in the Valais region.

By the way: The INTERSPORT Rent shops on site offer you a vast selection of latest-generation rental equipment at great prices!

More about the ski resorts of the Portes du Soleil

With the villages of Les Crosets, Champoussin, Morgins and Champéry, Val d’Illiez is a tranquil ski resort that’s perfect for leisure skiers and families. Between mystic fir forests, traditional chalets and breathtaking views of the Dents du Midi, many winter sports dreams have come true.

Families and beginners love the Morgins children’s area and the Champéry Family Fun Zone. Freestylers and snowboarders should check out Snowpark Les Crosets or the ski-cross course in Morgins. For your personal dose of freeride powder, head over to the Cuboré sector in Champéry. If you’re an accomplished skier looking for a challenge, look no further than the notorious “Swiss Wall” run.

Time for a break! To warm up in between runs, we recommend a cup of hot Swiss chocolate at one of the charming mountain huts.
