I was really surprised to learn that there was no insurance in place when my snowboard was stolen, and that I was required to cover half the cost of a replacement. Given that the board would have paid for itself many times over during the season, it left a bit of a sour impression.
Running my own business, I make sure my equipment is insured, so it was unexpected to find that this wasn’t the case here. It might be worth considering offering customers the option to add insurance for a small additional fee in situations like this.
Otherwise I found the entire rental experience perfect.
